I decided to complete my masters this year to gain more in-depth study about the current and future fashion industry climate. I am so glad I did because so much has changed due to the pandemic – particularly the rise of social channels such as TikTok and Instagram. By using these accounts, I have been analysing how brands are changing their digital strategies to attract consumers. For example, it was amazing to see the ice-cream snack brand Little Moons increase sales by 700% due to their Tiktok videos going viral. Fashion, in particular, is such a competitive marketplace and creating content on these new emerging digital channels in my opinion is key to future success. Throughout my degrees, I have discovered a strong passion for creating exciting new digital opportunities for brands. I plan to compose my master’s final major project around Gen Z and how brands can come up with innovative marketing campaigns to spark this age groups interest. I recently composed a project to help fashion brand Acne Studios become more sustainable within their supply chain. By launching an interactive technological initiative, paired with a loyalty scheme to encourage consumers to get involved with the brand’s sustainable future campaign. The idea was aimed to connect their digital and physical presence. I used market theories to analyse risk, composed mood boards / social mockups to support written content and devised the whole report aesthetic on Indesign.
