Worked in the summers between university terms, summer 2016, 2017 & 2019 Working with experienced draughtsmen to understand and edit engineering and architectural drawings. • Extensive use of AutoCad to make changes to the plans and combine required elements into detailed drawings. • Creation of detailed drawings showing the relationships between different parts of the structure, required an understanding of measurements and materials. • The role highlighted the importance of communication as every member of the design process needed to be consulted about changes to the building in order for the project to run smoothly.

Working full time within an East London based design consultancy. Specialising in wayfinding and human factors. • Being immersed in a creative studio not only developed technical skills it also ensured an understanding of the standard of work that is expected in a professional environment. • Working with a diverse range of companies such as National Rail and St Pauls Cathedral allowed an insight into different sectors. • Being a part of design sprints and workshops with clients and senior designers allowed development of design communication skills and creative confidence. • Conducting in depth user research through ethnography, gaining real insights into the users to inform the design process. • Often working to deadlines meaning that work had to be completed to a high standard under pressure.
