I am a student of British Academy of Interior Design. I will graduate in winter 2021 with a post-graduate diploma in Interior Design. During my school years, I was passionate about a theatre and an opera and I have finished 3 years of classical singing course in the Music School. I have moved to Edinburgh in the age of 19, looking for an adventure, as well as to develop my artistic skills within theatre and music, therefore I have entered the Performing Arts course at Edinburgh College. In the meantime I had an opportunity to work in a Michelin starred restaurant in Edinburgh, where I gained a customer service experience, as well as learnt how to be efficient, organised and precise. My passion for design came in later years when I had an opportunity to travel and time to pursue my interest in the history of architecture and design. Organizing a space became intuitive and started giving me joy and satisfaction. I have discovered how much I admire form, shape, light and shadow, colours, details and aesthetic. Transforming spaces became a sort of expression of art, which was always present in my life. I had a chance to work closely with experienced architects, which gave me the courage to transform my ideas into concepts and motivation for further development.

I am an undergraduate student of Interior Design Academy. During my design course, I had an opportunity to gain relevant knowledge and skills, develop my creative thinking and learn computer skills. I believe the world of design demands constant learning, searching and exploring as much as understanding clients and their needs. I am a diligent and ambitious person who pays attention to the details and always put an effort in every task. I am just at the beginning of my journey with the Interior Design, therefore I am looking forward to starting work with a professional company to gain more knowledge, experience and to prove myself.

I am attending the Interior Design course, where I have got an opportunity to study in-depth the history of interior design and architecture, architectural drawing, the theory of design such as design cycle, workflow or ergonomics, I had a chance to learn about design principles, materials, finishes, colour psychology, lighting and fabrics. My course has covered both residential and commercial design, leading me through assignments with different content. I have gained relevant computer skills in programs such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. I had to conduct very detail research on every topic, I had an opportunity to work on the technical side of the projects such as budgeting, scheduling, management projects and specifications. I believe this course gave me a good foundation to start working for professionals where I can gain experience.

Architecture / Interior Design
I had an opportunity to work closely with Rowan Mackinnon-Pryde who is an architect as well as a tutor at Wuhan University in China and Nicky Thompson, an architect and tutor in Glasgow school of Art. The family of four has hired studio NIRO for refurbishment work of the ground floor of the house and later for design strategy for the first floor bedrooms, study, landing and staircase. The strategy has been considered in relation to the proposed refurbishment works at the ground floor in order to create a series of spaces with an interconnected, holistically considered aesthetic. My task was to help with the design strategy of this project. I had an opportunity to carry out the site survey of the house, prepare survey documents, work on the design strategy as well as contact the suppliers and prepare samples for the client presentation.
